hey all...encoded a file it has sound..when i play it on the computer it plays with sound..when i put it on disc it has knno sound...wht im i /should i do ?_X_X_X_X_X_[small]thanks much all : S.L.E[/small]
check the audio spec of the file you encoded. It may not be compliant with the standard of the disc (vcd, svcd, dvd) you have created.
the originally audio file stats are..frauhofer lls mpeg layer 3 codec samply 2400hz 2 stereo..i simply umcompress it (pcm) and add it to dvd2svcd w/cce or tmpe along w/the video, the video is good yet no sound on svcd when burned..the encoded file stats are mpeg 1 audio layer 1 44100hz 128 kb.. if that is my problem what should i change the format of the audio to ..thanks much all
I assume you mean mpeg1 layer2 audio. The spec looks fine. Does your DVD player actually play other SVCDs? or is it just this particular file it will not play?
my dvd player has played several other svcd s...flawlessly. this one and a few made prior just won t play audio
what happens if you use TMPGenc without using DVD2SVCD ?? also, does the final product produce sound on your PC ?
when i play the movie from my hhd it plays with sound...if i use the disc no sound..somehow im not getting the sound put on disc..and also with tmpeg alone no sound
try using virtual dub to convert the sound to PCM audio before encoding to MPG. This usually helps with sound problems. > open file in vdub > click audio -> full processing mode > click audio -> compression -> no compression PCM > click audio -> conversion -> high quality, 16bit stereo. > click video -> direct stream copy hope this helps.
tried that and doesn t work reinstalled and still smae problem..seems that program closes when it should began encodingaudio..any other suggestions?
open in virtual dub, click on file then save wav. use the separate wav and avi files when encoding in TMPGenc.
