Hello everybody. I have a problem with the unlock procedure on my nokia 1600. I have the right number ("#pw+<number>+1#"), but when I press the "#" button at the end, the character "#" just doesn't appear on the screen, and it doesn't make anything. I tried it with and without a SIM card, and it is always the same thing. What can I do ?
Insert a non accepted sim, most times it will show "Phone Restricted" Press the UNDO option You should see a box that says enter restriction code. Enter the code given and then press (OK)
I tried with a non accepted sim, and it simply asks the pin code. After having done that, it displays "Carte Sim invalide" (ie "Sim card disabled" - I'm French). Then when I try entering "#pw+<number>+1#", I just can't type the last sharp, whatever I do. Quite strange, don't you think ?
Remove sim first, power on the phone. After the phone boots up, press # Press * 3 times fast for (p) Press * 4 times fast for (w) Press * 2 times fast for (+) Verify code before pressing the last #. "Phone restrictions off", it's unlocked! Is this what you are doing?
Yes, that's exactly what I've done (and I tried also with a non accepted sim card). In fact, as soon as I've written "#pw+", it's impossible to print the last #, as if the command was blocked or something like that.
