problem with usb stick 4 starview 4

has any1 had any problems with the usb stick on sv4. it worked fine 4 putting in the firmware, then i recorded 10 mins of football just 2 c how it worked. i watched the recording fine. but now when i try 2 put the stick back in and it says please reconnect usb. also when i press the hdd button nothing happens. my laptop wont connect with it either. any1 had this problem? i think its fecked lol. thanks

Did you format the stick from the HDD menu on the SV4? Also what size is the mem stick?

An average match or film will take up approximately 4 to 6 GB dependent on duration.

 

i formatted it on the pc. it was workin fine until i recorded.

Thats your problem 1 Gb is tiny when recording, its fine for flashing. I use a 160GB external USB drive and that will get about 35 to 40 recordings of say movies or matches.

Its sufficient as when I fill it I then burn to DVD.

 

Scouser, you don't happen to have a recording of the Liverpool v Moanchester United game on there by any chance??

Was going to ask HiTeck if he had it but thought it might be a bad idea!!! lol

 

ive got my starview 4 box and its working perfect apart from i cant connect my hard drive so i can record.
i have a 120gb samsung laptop hard drive in a portable caddy. now as the starview box only has 1 usb port i have had to buy a powered usb hub so i can connect the 2 usb cables from the hard drive but i now i just get the message "please reconnect the usb stick"
does anyone have any idea what is wrong?
