Hi, i installed a viper gc in my gamecube and flashed with cobra 1.2 using viper loader. I re assembled my gamecube, turn it on, the orginal gc screen loads and the disc spins for a bit but then stops. The soldering seems fine, and the wires, but do i have to somehow activate the chip? maybe using the programmer? Anyone got any ideas? thanks in advance
You might want to check over your installation very carefully. It might also be a good idea to just reflash the bios and see if that helps at all.
OK i re-installed and reflashed the chip with cobra 1.2. Now when i boot it comes up with a cobra screen, but it seems to stay frozen on 'please wait' Any ideas? thanks
Well, at least you're making some progress. Try a different bios and see if it makes a difference. Maybe the bios you downloaded is corrupt. Either that, or you bridged something and didn't notice.
LOL You will have to excuse me, i made the most stupid mistake ever, probably due to the fact i mainly mod xboxes. I forgot to plug the laser drive back into the motherboard. Embarrassing, yes, but at least now i have it fully working, cheers for the support venom
