I am new to this group and very new to backing up my CDs. Last week I was able to backup a few of my CDs and when I tried it today, I received the following error: There was a problem writing to the disc. You can try again by clicking the Retry button. You will need another blank disc ready.
When I click on the Explain button, it tells me to wipe finger prints, etc. The Advanced button states:
    Sense: 03 ASC: 0C ASCQ: 00 (Command 2A)
    -------------------------------------------------------
    Px.dll: 2.8.65.500
    pxdrv.dll: 1.1.79.0
    PxMas.dll: 2.8.65.500
    PxSFS.DLL: 2.8.65.500
    PxWave.dll: 2.8.65.500
    pxwma.dll: 1.0.0.3

I am using the same CDs as last week and they are all brand new. I have tried this six times and ruined six CDs. I have rebooted my computer as well. If anyone can shed some light on what the issue is here, I would appreciate it.

First off what program are you using to burn the CD's with?

It's not your PC most likely it's just you doing something wrong.

    Try this: CDBurnerXP Pro v3.0.116
    http://www.afterdawn.com/software/cdr_software/cdr_applications/cdburnerxp_pro.cfm

Or download Alcohol 120% 1.9.5.4212 & use the trial version to see it works.

Also, what brand of media are you using?
