I've been unable to back several adult titles, most recently The Wicked One with Jenna Jameson. I've tried AnyDVD with Nero Recode and get "cyclic redundancy error", DVDDecrypter in brute force mode with DVDShrink gives me the message "the algorthms failed", AnyDVD with CloneDVD gives another error (unreadable sector I think).
And with the title Night Trips with Tori Welles, my DVD Rom drive will not recognize a disc being present no matter what software I use, I was able to back it up using my burner to read and then write with AnyDVD and CloneDVD.Anyone have similar probs?Any suggestions?
    Thanx for any help.

clonedvd 2 and anydvd should work ive never had a dvd this combo cant transcode and burn you may have a bad/scrathed dvd so you could try another one or use a program called Intervideo DVDCopy 4 it will read scratched dvds but can take awhile if its pretty bad ,theres a free trial of this program ,heres the link

aabbccdd- That's good to know about that link you mentioned ,will remeber that ! Also bigbadjim- cyclic redundancy error- as aabbccdd said often means your disc is scratched or dirty or both - If either is not too severe you can often use a radial cleaner to Clean the disk and often doing it (cleaning !!) the disc once will solve your problem right away ! other times you may have to repeat the cleaning several times ! I recently backed up The DVD -There's Something About Mary ! Got cyclic redundancy error the 1st. time Cleaned Disc tried again cyclic redundancy error again ! Cleaned disc a 2cnd. time cyclic redundancy error again - Tried putting dvd in my new Benq Dw-1655 and cyclic redundancy error! I cleaned the dvd about twice more and Voila ! it worked ! Can't garauntee that it will work always but it's worth a shot ! right ! Happy Burning !

I always found porn dvd,s to be very simple, compared to
main stream dvd,s. But now that Anydvd, has that tool to
rip to harddrive, I would give that a try and see if it works.

Thanx to all for the help,I don't see any scratches on the disk so I think I"ll try cleaning the disk again first and see how that goes, and I forgot about AnyDVD's ripper, so that would be next. I think I've got best software,(IMHO),AnyDVD,CloneDVD,DVDDecypter,DVDShrink,Nero, don't think I want to add any more at this time. Thanx again.

LOL.. Just various oils from being handled incorrectly multiple times... You may not be able to distinctly discern the fingerprints, but the oils are still there... I have a cheap Maxell discwasher that I use... Nothing special about the encryption on adult movies...

EDIT: Sometimes, just using a different drive to rip it does the trick...
