I have been using dvd shrink 3.1.7.6 and dvd decrypter 3.2.2.0 for a while w/o problems. Now when I back up my dvds,I get pixelation and freezing during playback. Can anyone tell me what is wrong and how I can fix it without a lot of expense?
    Thanks CC

Choose high quality blank media such as Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim and burn no faster than 8X. If the media you are using is not one of the above, the symptoms you now have can be almost without doubt be attributed to rubbish discs.

Dvd shrink and dvd decrypter are no longer being updated and can't handle the newer movies.

Use dvdfab HD Decrypter which is free and still being updated. http://www.dvdfab.com/free.htm

You can then run the results thru dvd shrink to compress the results to dvd5 size.

Use imgburn to burn your disks (free) one of the best burning programs IMHO.

Also use high quality disks, such as Verbatum or Taiyo Yuden disks, burning no faster than 1/2 of what the disk is rated for.

Thanks again. I will try it out Tues. It looks like I have more options that shrink/decrypt. Is there a "best way" to back up the disc?
Also, how important is the fixvit? The link that was sent in no longer valid.
