    Hi,

    I have recently purchased a starview 'The Box' and I am unable to bring up the hidden CAS menu to activate the EMU key.
    So far I have tried
    menu -> 1570

    also
    Parental Control -> Info -> 2004

    Would you know of any other way to access this menu? I need to know how to do this mannually if possible please.

    Any help is much appreciated...

    Sounds like you have version 2.60, (On "The Box"). Go to menu press system info and tell me what it says.

    You will need to flash it with version 4.5, this will not only allow you into the CAS menu, but this will autoroll the keys for you.

    You need a null modem cable similar to this

    Null modem info here

    http://www.maplin.co.uk/Search.aspx?criteria=L71BT&DOY=2m6

    If your pc does not have a 9 way serial port you will also need an adapter similar to this

    USB Adapter info here

    http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx...t10&doy=search&MenuName=USB to Serial Adaptor

    These are only for reference and you can get them much cheaper on fleabay.

    You will need the gtromloader, you will find this in the link at the end of my post, Eamos Library, in Starview Software folder. You will also need the 4.5 firmware, you will find this in Eamos Library in "The Box" firmware folder.
