I know there are guides but I can only find them in PDF. My PC has big problems wtih Adboe and crashes everytime I try to open a PDF. So apologies for the questions that are probably answered in the guides.

    Anyway.

I used DVD Decrypter to copy DVD to hard drive. When I fire up Nero to burn the files to DVD I get the following error message:-

"DVD-Video compliance test failed. The resulting DVD-Video may not be playable. Do you want to continue?"

In the window behind this error message I can see a list of other error messages, such as:-

Required file "VTS_03_0.bup" is not present" This is repeated for VTS_04 and VTS_05".

Does anybody know what is wrong? I thought DVD Decrypter copied the relvant files?

    Cheers.

    A couple of things....

It sounds like you are only copying the .vobs which will not work.

All you should be doing is:
    Open Decrypter
    Select Mode > File
Select the source drive the movie is in.
    Select your destination folder.
    Start the process.
Decrypter will copy all the files to your HDD destination folder.
That will create a compliant set of files for Nero.

    The second thing...

Unless you are using D/L media then in most cases the movie will not fit on a single layer DVD. You need to add compression or remove items for this. Decrypter is not what you want to be using to accomplish this.

Try DVD Shrink, or open Nero Recode to do this.

I've got quite a few guides at my website:
    http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/

    No PDFs!

Thanks. I did use DVD Decrypter as you described so I am confused why not all the files were copied. I'll check the guides out. Thanks again.
