I'm sure someone has had this problem, I just didn't have any luck finding info on it.

I've been using shrink and decrypter to burn DVDs for a while now, and just lately I've had a problem come up when it comes to burning the .iso file onto the disk. I click the button to begin burning and it'll say "writing lead in" on the decrypter screen, and sit there for sometimes several minutes before beginning to burn. Once in a while it burns all fine and dandy, but maybe 2 of 3 times I'll sit through the writing lead in stage for a good 4-5 minutes before burning starts. Anything I can do to fix this?

    Hi nworock
    A few questions for you.
What's the make & model of the drive?

Is the firmware up to date?
You can use decrypter to see if it is. Go to tools>drive>check for firmware update. You'll get a pop up with the version you have than it take you to the firmware page (http://rpc1.org)

What media are you using? Like Sony +R 8x.

Drives in DMA mode? Here's a guide to check if needed. Check 'currrent transfer mode' too - Ultra DMA mode should be listd there also.
