k im having problems converting my avi's into mpeg's. almost all of them have some sort of problem. Divfix (among other avi repairing programs) wont find the video glitches that stop the movies from being converted into mpeg. I recently started looking for programs to just remove the scenes and i havent had much success so far. what should i do? are there any supper programs around that can fix my problems. im getting really annoyed that some of these films fail to cooperate, regardless of the avi to mpeg conversion program i decide to use (yes ive used to tmpeg).

Does TMPGEnc give an error? or is there something wrong with the mpeg you get?

    found 2 programs

    http://divxrepair.sourceforge.net/
Divx Repair : cuts out bad parts of movie...
    pro: very easy and effective
con: if you work with subs, your subs will need to be resynched (difficult)

    http://www.koala.pl/
Koala player, contains avifix, ignores bad frames and gives a very good result... very easy
pro: you don't lose a couple of seconds in your movie
con: audio got out of sync when I last used it... was very annoying
    don't forget to backup first!
