I'm trying to convert a foreign tv show series to my iPod and nothing seems to work. I own Avex Suite and it could NOT even play my video. I can play it just fine on my Windows Media Player and Real Player. (At first it gave me an error and 2nd time and thereafter, it played fine, probably auto downloaded a codec I was missing.) Here is the codec/video info I got using GSpot on this video: (I'll just write the info it gives me, I have NO CLUE what it means.) Under "Container": File Length Correct Open DML (AVI v 2.0) Interleave: 1 vid frame (42ms), preload=512 Audio frames: Split across interleaves Video: 608 MB (86.97%) Audio: 87 MB (12.43%) AVI Overhead: 4.17 MB (0.60%) Under "User Data/Metadata": [ISFT] Nandub v.1.0rc2 [JUNK] Nandub build 1852/release Under "Audio": Codec: 0x2000 (Dolby AC3) AC3 Info: 48000Hz 192 kb/s tot, stereo (2/0) Under "Video": Codec: XVID Name: XviD ISO MPEG-4 *** The extension for this video is .avi. I had no problems converting other .avi's. If I click "properties" on this video, I get: Image Width: 576 pixels Height: 432 pixels Audio Duration: 1:03:18 Bit Rate: 192 kbps Video Frame rate: 23 frames/second Dara rate: 188 kbps Thank you VERY much for taking time to help me.
Try converting with Videora iPod converter. You can get it for free here: http://www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/iPod/ If this doesn't work, than it is most likely a bad video.
Videora does not work. It is NOT a bad video. It plays fine on all my computers in exquisite quality. Are there some videos that just cannot be converted? I don't get this.
Maybe since it's a foreign video, it has a weird codec or something. If you don't mind, what is the name of it? Because I may be able to get it for you I have access to alot of that. PM me if you wish.
It's a Korean video. The title is in Korean. I believe I have all the codecs needed to PLAY the video. I can play it just fine on all my computers using any player. I just get errors when I try to convert and I've already tried a lot of converting programs. BTW.. I really want to thank you for trying to help me. I'm new here and I'm very pleased by how fast people reply. Thank you! =)
I think the most reason is the Korean video has been protected or anything like that, try some korean converter, maybe it will work.Just thoughts
I don't think it has a weird codec or something. Code: Under "Container": File Length Correct Open DML (AVI v 2.0) Interleave: 1 vid frame (42ms), preload=512 Audio frames: Split across interleaves Video: 608 MB (86.97%) Audio: 87 MB (12.43%) AVI Overhead: 4.17 MB (0.60%) Under "User Data/Metadata": [ISFT] Nandub v.1.0rc2 [JUNK] Nandub build 1852/release Under "Audio": Codec: 0x2000 (Dolby AC3) AC3 Info: 48000Hz 192 kb/s tot, stereo (2/0) Under "Video": Codec: XVID Name: XviD ISO MPEG-4 Change the filename into english, maybe it is due to the korean character can't be recgonized by your computer. If you still have any questions about this, you can pm me.
Thank you VERY much dreaver!! Changing the file name to English worked!! I feel so stupid for not trying something that seems so obvious. I changed the name to English and had to do a batch conversion and voila, everything is perfect! All of you guys are awesome! Very supportive. Thank you very much!!
