I usually use TMPGEnc to convert my divx/xvid avi files to DVD, but sometimes, during the step in which you specify what % you want your movie file to occupy on the DVD, it will be set at something like 150%, and I am unable to lower it to fit it on one disc. Is there a fix for this? I'd really prefer to keep each movie on a single DVD. So I heard about Super DVD Creator as being faster and easier to use. I tried it and initially was impressed with the speed as compared to TMPGEnc. But while the finished DVD played fine on my computer's DVD drive, it was really buggy on my standalone DVD player--it skipped a lot and had these thick horizontal green lines throughout the picture. I don't think the DVD player is the problem as it plays every other DVD I create perfectly. I'm pretty much lost on both problems. If anyone knows anything about either, or if you could recommend an alternative superior software product, I'd really appreciate your help. Thanks.
Can you put your .avi file on AviCodec and show us what it gives for particulars? Or GSpot gives similar info. I ran across a note in a guide for TMPGEnc that says sometimes an .avi with .mp3 vbr audio will show false long play times and the solution given is to convert the audio to .wav and use that as input to TMPGEnc.
