Hiyah i just bought a new TDK 880N burner and was experimenting with a TDK DVD+RW media. I backed up abt 4.5 GB worth of data and i tried deleting a particular 700mb file on the RW in Nero. after the file was removed the size of the data still remained the same ! As a result I cannot add other files onto it once it hits the maximum capacity. How should I remove the files individually ? I am using Nero Ultra 6.3.1.6 and i burnt it under the DVD-iso option and was able to multisession it. Also what is the significance of the option " finalising " the DVD for an RW ?
Hi eva01, If I'm not mistaken, when you delete a file or folder on a RW disc, you are just removing the name from your list. The data is still on the disc until you do a full erase. Thats why you didn't see an increase in space. Once I get close to a full RW data disc and its files I want to keep, I transfer it to a cheap R type disc for storage and erase the RW for re-use. Yep in the end I had to do dat. But are there any other programs that can actually remove individual files ?
went to do some checking up and found that in order to remove individual files we need to install packet writing softwares such as Nero InCD, Veritas DLA ( Direct Letter Access )or Roxio's DirectCD
