problems flashing kv780

    ok.kv a780,following the tutorials,connected up the 232.start up the programme and go through it fine pointing at the bin file,but when i turn off the kv then press start and turn on the kv i just get the message "the downloading is not requested".in the actual code send box it says "read req fail".any pointers where i am going wrong.sorry for the previous title mods.

    Right a bit more information for those knowledgeable to fault find.
    The computer I am using is a panasonic with a 232 connector and it's running xp,the cable is why was supplied from Yourcablebox,I have also plugged it into a mates desktop pc through his 232 port running xp and the end result is still the same.

    does it say krypt a790 or a780
    what guide did you follow

    It's the a780 & infollowed the guide on e45 links.

    right,had enough of it,sold it to a mate for a tenner proffit towards my subs now.

    thanks for the attempt to help mate,to be honest if its not plug n play i give up to easy.ah well at least i tried.there is a lot of information out there and on here but i think for the newbie starting out to attempt this it can all be a bit daunting.
