Hello, I purchased some movies online that you download to keep and you can watch them on your computer and I want to take them off of my computer and put them on DVD so I can free up the space the movies take. I am pretty sure they are WMV files. I have no idea how to get them on a dvd. I tried using the Any video converter software and then I attempted to copy it to a disk but the movie came out all scrambled on the disk. Any suggestions on what I would need to convert the file so I can put it on a DVD?
hi, You can use http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_tools/free_dvd_creator.cfm or http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_tools/dvd_flick.cfm all are freeware.
I have a recommendation which does things fast. I onced burned video files directly to DVD-R, but it can't be played on my home DVD player. Later I learned that if one want to play the DVD on home DVD player, you need first convert video files to DVD format, which is in form of "AUDIO_TS", "VIDEO_TS" and then burn them to DVD disc, so then you can watch it from dvd player on TV. I use X2X Free Video to DVD converter and X2X Free DVD Video Burner to achieve this purpose. You can try these two small freeware too. I hope my experience can help you avoid detours.
