Problems installing a PCI video card

Hi again all. I installed a GEForce MX4000 on a Dell 2400 tonight and had problems ever since. I installed the card and drivers correctly, but when the monitor (VGA) is attached to the card output...I get a boot as far as the Windows screen, then nothing. Moving the monitor output to the original location corrects the problem to a certain extent, but now when I reboot it bypasses the BIOS screen and goes straight to the windows logon. When I was originally in the F2 setup, it seemed that the onboard graphics would be disabled automatically. Thoughts? Suggestions? Maybe the card is pulling too much power? The device manager assures me everything is working properly, but obviously it isn't.

I assume it automaticlly disabled, but now I can't get to the setup area, even on a restart to be able to check. I will try and uninstall the onboard driver and see.

Success...managed to disable the OB graphics via Windows. Now to convince the wife I need another 512Mb of RAM to max out this piece of poo-poo. Oh well, it's a second computer....
