what exactly is your problem? you plug the sata connector wire into your drive and into the port on your motherboard, and you're done. are you having trouble installing windows on it? or do you just want a step by step walkthrough?
The problem is that I cannot seem to find the sata connection on the motherboard. Cheers for the reply..
Your Mobo doesn't support SATA, according to the AsRock site : http://www.asrockamerica.com/Products/K7vt4ap.htm Get an ATA (IDE) drive instead.
Hey, i get this kind of stupidity on a daily basis... "Hi, i bought a system with you guys a year ago, and yesterday i bought a SATA drive, but it doesn't work" "That probably means your system doesn't support SATA sir, may i suggest you bring it back and trade it in for an ATA drive instead? Then they come with the "yeah but's", and i hand the phone to the manager... I scream at customers like that.
you can come work at the place i'm going to open any time you want, dan. we appreciate screamers there. ^.^
