problems installing new video card

    i bought a radeon hd2400 pro PCI card and tried to install it on my ABIT kv-80 motherboard. my previous card was AGP. i have removed old drivers and disabled onboard graphics and when i restart with new card i freeze at scanning devices screen on boot-up.i did have it boot up one time but when i restarted again its the same thing.what am i missing here?

    Are you sure that your Radeon is a PCI card, and not a PCIe card? If it is the PCIe variety, it isn't going to work in a regular PCI slot(s), which is what I would think that your motherboard, with an AGP slot has.

    I just checked on that video card. It is a PCI Express card, and unless you have a PCI Express slot, in your computer, which I doubt, it isn't going to work.
