I am having trouble loading evox from disc I am using a retail hard drive, I flashed my mod chip which is a 2.3b lite with the xecuter2 4978.03 bios. The xecuter logo shows up under the xbox logo but never boots the dashboard.
make a folder on your pc called EVOXCD and send evoxdash.xbe and the evox.ini to it(you can also send the trainer and skin folder if you want) you may also want to make a dummyfile to send the data to the edge of the disc download dummyfile creator from http://www.teamxecuter.com ok make a 400mb dummyfile and send it to the EVOXCD folder rename evoxdash.xbe to default.xbe then rename dummy.bin to abc.bin then use craxion to turn it into an xISO http://www.craxtion.com then use NERO to burn that ISO onto a good quality cd(not cd-r) cd-r only work on one type of dvd-rom(the samsung).Use cd-rw I recomend TDK cd-rw these are your burn settings disc at once finalise cd slowest burn speed
o and if you have windows xp, make sure you download the craxtion autoinstall, the normal one is hard to get to work.
Thank you for your response!! I am still having problems doing that with the settings you have given me! It still will not load the evox dash. I am using fuji dvd-rw discs they worked when flashing the bios to the chip, but i wouldnt see how that could be the problem now. Do i need to edit the evox.ini file in anyway if i am using a retail hard drive. or would it be easier to get this to work if i went and got a new bigger hard drive
Can you maybe paste a copy of what my ini file is supposed to look like for a retail hard drive this is very frustrating
I also can't load the evox dashboard. I installed an Xecuter 2.3b Lite chip. Flashed the bios. It loads to the normal XBOX dashboard. Is this normal? Is there an alternative? I am a beginner so please help.
try re aligning your chip disable the chip, reboot thexbox, while its booting align the chip so you see 3 lights (2 blue, one orange/yellow) when you see 3 lights/leds, switch off your xbox, enable the chip, and reboot
no you still have to install the dashboard, but flashing the bios is the first big step. You can actually play your previously made backups without loading a new dash (such as evox) but to enble you to make your own backups, install and use other apps etc, you need to load a dashboard in yourself, the easiest way is by an autoinstaller on a disc, this does it all for you. PM me if you need help regarding where to get one. _X_X_X_X_X_[small]Is it true Michael Jackson speaks Marklar?[/small]
it also burns it to the disc for you. I used tdk high speed cdrw's put it in the drive when your xbox is starting and it should come up with a menu for you to choose from
Mr. Icarrbutt Thank you very much for your words of wisdom. I spent 2 days trying to replace my dashboard and after reading your post, it took me twenty minutes. Appreciate it!
