I'm having problems with making burns on one of my computers. Here is a little background: I have 2 computers. Both use either CloneDvd2 or Dvd Xcopy Xpress. I use memorex +r disks. When I make a burn of the same movie, using either software on my latop (teac dv-w28ew) i get a perfectly playable disk that will play in my standalone player. When I make a backup using my desktop ( tsstcorp cd/dvdw ts-h552b) I get a backup that can only be played on my computer. It will not play on my standalone player. I can make a good backup on my desktop using +rw disks, but both +/- r disks do not work to make a backup. I have upgraded the firmware on it, does anyone have any advice for me. It is greatly appreciated.

Try Verbatim DVDR- 16x and burn at 4x speed they will play on most peoples stand alone players, Don't use Memorex!

i have heard that some dvd burners get a little goofy on what format disk they will burn, like you are saying about your burner only burning dvd+rw, a friend of mine has a Pioneer dvd burner and it will only burn +rw, so good luck, i would get a better burner, that will burn multi formats
