i have softmodded my xbox and installed a 320g HD, i am wanting to format my drives as the following e:130g f:130g g:60g i am only familiar with using xboxhdm as of so far. can i use that to format the size the e&f drives? currently my HD is set up at e:6g f:300g i am familiar with only being able to read 130g unless i mod my bios (which i would prefer to stay away from) i would appreciate any help upon this subject.

How can you format like this e:130g f:130g g:60g? Even you have a modchip, you wont have that option to format like that. But modchip will read up to 500GB.

Now you have softmod, so your xbox only read up to 147GB. The left over is unused.

so even if i did split the partitions, it wouldn't read all of them corrctly? if i have to modchip, i will, what would be the best one to get, preferrably solderless

Yes. If you want modchip, you should get X3ce or Xenium.

I have a soft modded box with a 300 gig drive. Don't Chip it. if you ask me its just a waste of money. Any thing you can do with a chip you can do soft modding. you ether need to split it up to just the f: and G: drive (e: has to stay the same) or format the F with xboxplorer with 32 K clusters. (so the F drive can see all the gigs, if you don't use the 32 K Clusters you'll hit probs. cause it can only handle 250 gigs.)

I tell you it is waste of money. The xbox bios only read up 137GB. So anything over will be unused. And there is no way to get G drive on softmod xbox.
