Hi There Everybody- I am having problems playing back a home made DVD in my DVD player. I made a movie with 7 chapters and each chapter is 10 to 15 min in length. the first 3 to 4 chapters work fine, but when playing the others, it gets really choppy and the sound comes and goes. When I watch each of the files on the computer, they all play fine. So my thinking is the problem is from when I burn to the disk. I am using Nero burning software and the files are in .avi format. The transcoding and burn process seams to be fine and I have gotten no errors. So I am lost on what can be the problem. Any advise would be very helpful. Thanks for looking. Sincerely- Doug Ward
I've always had quality issues when encoding with Nero. You can convert the avi using ConvertXtoDVD. http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/vso_convertxtodvd_guide.cfm Or DVDFlick (freeware), but I've always preferred ConvertXtoDVD. http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_tools/dvd_flick.cfm Then burn it with IMGburn. http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/burn_dvd_folder_imgburn.cfm Make sure to booktype it to DVD-ROM when burning, but everything should be explained in those guides. Just read it step by step. Good Luck.
hi all new here .i was wondering can you create a main menue with image burn like as if i burnt it with convert x . i am looking for title menue . after i played the dvd i created with image burn it just started to play with no title or dvd cover image . i had the same problem with dvd's skipping and freezing when i used nero 8 and convert x so i opted to try image burn but looking for a title menue any help would be great thanks jimmy
ImgBurn does not do any kind of authoring, just records to disc. What kind of DVD are you burning? A DVD backup,a copy, or making a DVD from different video files?
