When I go to play COD4 online I can sign in and go to the Playstation Network. When I click on Find Game it pops up with the Public Playlists, but then Downloading Game Settings pops up. It will just run and run and run. It always pops up but usually only takes like two seconds to download the game settings. Now it takes like 15 to 20 minuets and sometimes won’t do anything. Has anyone else had this problem and what do you think it is.
Its not a problem on our end its a problem with their servers, theres nothing we can do about it besides restart the game and try again.
So more people are having this problem then me. I thought that it might be their servers. Well I hope they get it fixed soon. Thanks for the info.
Ive heard of this problem alot over various forums and all they do to sort it is restart there router and ps3 and the problems seems to go away, give it a try.
I can assure you any relationship between COD4 working properly and resetting your router is completely coincidental, simply restarting the game will normally solve the problem.
I had this problem for two days now. I would restart the game over and over and over, but still it would just say Downloading Game Settings. So I come home today and try again, still Downloading Game Settings is all it would do. I restart the game and still it is doing the same thing. Then I read the post by cd250481. So I try restarting my router like cd250481 said and WOW it worked. I would have never thought of that becouse all my computers, wired and wireless were working fine. Completely coincidental or not it did work. Thank you both for the help.
