I've spent days putting together a showreel on DVD, but having tried it on 5 different standalone DVD players it only works on 2 of them...arrggh! I've tried using better DVD-R's (Maxell) and no difference. It's only about 15-20 mins of video compiled in iDVD on a Mac G5. I've tried burning straight from iDVD and burning the disk image from disk utility with no improvement, and at different speeds 4x-8x (can't seem to go any slower). Someone (in the pub) mentioned "book-typing", something to do with DVD-ROM, is this something that would help? I would be really grateful if someone can help - I need to start sending these out to try and get work as a film/tv composer and they're just going to laugh at me if I can't even get a DVD to work in their machine....! Thanks, Jamie.
ok try verbatim or tayio dvd-r's they are the best keep burn speed down to 4X you can book type dvd+r's if your burner and software supports it this can improve compatability
