    Hey guys,

I'm having real problems trying to rip this one DVD to my hard drive. It's "Jimmy Carr Stand Up", released last November.

First of all i tried DVD Decrypter, but at 50% of the way through the disc i got an error :
    ---------
    I/O error!

    Device:[1:0:0]BENQ DVD DD DW1640 BSOB (G:) (ATA)

    ScsiStatus: 0x02
    Interpretation : Check condition

    CDB: 28 00 00 1F A1 B8 00 00 01 00
    Interpretation : Read (10) - Sector : 2073016

    Sense Area : 70 00 03 00 00 00 00 12 00 00 00 00 11 00 00 00 00 00 00 01 02 03 04 05
    Interpretation : Unrecovered Read Error
    --------------------

So i then tried DVDFAB decryptor, n after a while the status bar just stops and doesn't increase.

I tried DVD Decryptor again with anydvd running in the background but that didn't change anything, and the dvdfab decryptor with anydvd running and still the same.

    Any ideas guys?

    cheers

Try just running AnyDVD...DVDDecrypter and AnyDVD dont seem to work too well together. Should be able to do just with AnyDVD.

Can this not be obtained by using DVDShrink? Just run AnyDVD in background.

I could use DVDShrink, but i'd prefer the full 7.5 gig iso, rather than a compressed one.

How can i get the iso? Does anyone know why it won't copy?

You could try combination of AnyDVD and Nero Recode.

Gd idea! I'll give it a go... bt preferably i'd like it as an iso, and Nero only burns to Nrg's doesn't it?

I just really want an iso, because i have backed up a lot of my DVDs onto my hard drive in Iso format n want to keep it consistent. Any other ideas?

Nope, burning to an nrg file failed as well - at 50%!!

I guess something's wrong at 50% then? Layer break maybe?

Still...i need to rip this to hard drive n nothing i do seems to work? Plse help!!

    cheers,

    Blighter

    Blighter,
Try with Shrink, you can set it to 8.5gb so you wont have to compress.
Is that disk scratched in any way?

It's a brand new disc, but i'm doing a Nero CD-DVD Speed Scandisc check anyway.

Ok, shall try the DVD Shrink thing...any ideas why decrypter n DVDFab Decrypter aren't working?

The only time I had read issues with Decrypter it was of because of a badly scratched disk. DVDfabdecrypter took care of it. I also have an old backup burner that is slow reading and it helps with damaged disks. You could try a different drive too with DVDDecrypter.
