Problems ripping DVD's

Hi everyone, just wanted some feedback as to what I’m doing wrong backing up my DVD's and playing them. I problem I’m having is that I decrypt movies fine, burn them fine, yet when I play the burned copy, the movie often freezes, pixelates, or skips all together. The programs I use are DVD Decrypter or more recently DVDFAb Decrypter and then use Nero 6.3.0.5 (because any newer versions give me a weird failed to write error). I never get any errors in either decrypting or burning, but the movies always come out weird. The media I use are TDK +R and I have used 3 burners to try and isolate the problem, but no dice. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

 

I'm guessing based on ur results its a media issue. Get some high quality taiyo yudens or verbatims, burn at 4X and u should have no problems.

TDK is some of the worst media on the market most codes out as CMC mag which is junk. as said use Taiyo Yuden and or Verbatim burn at 4x on a clean machine without other programs running while burning and make sure you have the lastest firmware update for your drives

you could always download DVD-Identifier (free) from the link in my sig. run your disc through it and find out the true I/D

You cant go wrong with taiyo yuden, happy burning LOL!!

 

I don`t know your experience ripping and burning. However, you may also be burning onto + media and trying to play it on a - dvd player. I didn`t see it mentioned so if all else fails, try matching your player to the type of media you burn.
