I downloaded DVD43 and everything. And using 1 Click DVD I was able to make backup copies of some of my movies. But when I watch the movies, about every 30 seconds the movie freezes, jumps ahead a few seconds, and looks all computery. Other than that, it works great (sigh)

I have a X16 DVD writer, but the blank DVDs I have are 8X. Does that make a difference?

I just don't know what could cause that problem?

It may be a Media problem. What type and Brand of discs are you burning?
Also what speed are you burning at? Most ppl that have burned for a while find that it’s better to burn at ½ the speed of the disc. That is, if it’s an 8x disk then you will have better burns if you hold it to 4x….

edit: It makes no difference what speed the disc are - The burner will handle anything up to and including 16x.

The best way to do is first back up your movie into youe hard drive...and then from your hard drive burn to your back up dvd...that is how I burn my back up movie..and they are fine...I used dvd cloner 3 to do that..
