I have just bought AnyDVD and went through the decrypter just like always and then the shrink and does ok but when the burn process is going it has problems burning. Did not have this problem till I downloaded the AnyDVD program. It just reads burning unsucessful. Anyone have any ideas on what to do.
Are you saying that you are running AnyDVD in the background AND running the movie through DVD Decrypter? If that's the case, you don't want to do that. AnyDVD and DVD Decrypter are great rippers when used alone. There's no need to use them both at the same time they can cause complications in your backup. Also, what movie are you backing up and what program are you using to burn?
I have my anydvd running ALL the time, I never shut if off,no matter what program Im running. I have heard that some people have trouble with anydvd, running along with dvdd,but unless your using dvdd to burn, I dont see how this could be the problem.But since shutting off anydvd is a simple thing to try,go ahead and give it a go. It sounds to me more like a media problem, or maybe you need a firmware update.
I also run AnyDVD in the background and haven't had any problems using DVD Decrypter at the same time.
Okay, the only reason I say that is because I was backing up a movie the other night and was burning with DVD Decrypter and had AnyDVD running. I have always turned AnyDVD off after I run the movie through DVD Shrink. Well, I noticed while it was burning my buffers went crazy and my backup was screwed. I did it again with AnyDVD turned off; no problems. Not saying it's like this for everyone. I had nothing else running but DVD Decrypter and AnyDVD. Like I said, may not be the norm, but it happened to me.
Do you even own AnyDVD? I would guess not or you wouldn't have made such an unwise statement. They are both rippers? What version of AnyDVD do you have that rips movies? You should use AnyDVD with decrypter when ripping AnyDVD is basically a driver that fools your drive into believing there is no encryption or region code on the DVD which actually makes it that much easier for Decrypter to rip ;-) Now once your done with the ripping process then you should go ahead and turn aff AnyDVD because it has been known to still interfear with the burning and encoding process. Besides it has already done everything it was supposed to do so just turn it off after ripping that way you will have no problems. I only turn my AnyDVD on when I need it and turn it off when I am not using it. I just like to have control LOL There is no need to keep it running it just uses up resources.. ( I will note that most people have no problems with it running all the time, but some people have problems and me not running it all the time is just a personal choice) Cheers
That sounds like a pretty broad statement,sounds like your saying this is a problem for everyone.If you would have stated that this was your own personal exprerience,then I, for one, wouldn't have called you on it,because as I stated earlier, this is a problem for some. Everybody has their own personal preferences when it comes to ripping, and burning.The only time I shut down anydvd, is when im running DVDRB/CCE.
Why do you have to do me in like that? As I stated, it happened to me. My statement was broad and not thought out. Sorry for the confusion....and yes, I do own it. @BBMayo - You state that you have no need to run it after ripping. I am simply stating that I didn't turn it off while burning and it screwed up my backup. I am agreeing with the both of you. Broad statement, my experience, not everyone's. I see where you are both coming from. Again, sorry for the confusion.

There have been several posts about a conflict between Anydvd and Decrypter. In one of those threads it was stated that LUK suggested turning off the decrypting properties of Decrypter if running Anydvd. I don't know if it was a true statement or not. I did try one backup that way and it did work. If you own Anydvd, it works great behind Shrink which eliminates the need for Decrypter as a step. Yes, at times and on some systems there is a conflict between Anydvd and Decrypter so lets not jump people for making that statement. Everyone needs to calm down a bit. Jerry
my trial ended like 17 days early on anydvd and i need ed to know if there was a program as good as it? i would it to be freeware
There is a free version of DVD43 which works similar to Anydvd as stated above. However at times it has its problems and conflicts. It isn't updated as often or as fast as Anydvd. For the asking price of Anydvd its well worth the money and you get lifetime updates included in that price. Jerry
u can find a code for it to not be a trial version anymore... or if ur that desperate to not part with it.... buy it... open the box very very very carefully... install it... put it back in the box... then return it and get ur $$$ back.. j/k.. its juss me

AD is simply an awe-some place to learn and grow...I have been using a variety of progs (Fantastic quality thanks to the creators of these progs!) one is definitely ANYDVD. Used the Trial (yet purchased it after 5 days!) It runs continusly and never a program with other progs. (even Decrypter!) I would suggest to anyone to try it and then buy it...worthy investment! Dvd43 just never worked properly on my system, but again that was on my system. It worked fine for my brother-in-law! No bother just find what workls for you and your system! MovieDud AMD 64 3200+ 320HD...dual burners (internal & external) and only use Taiyo Yuden, Verbatims, and Maxell...And the occasional Sony.
