Hello all, I've been having problems with my anydvd / clonedvd setup. I purchased a new pc, and transfered all my files to it. At this point clonedvd & anydvd were working fine. However, I had to do a restore on my new pc due to networking problems. After this restore, I have not been able to get clonedvd to work with anydvd. I have anydvd running in the background, and the fox is turned red. I get all the dvd info, and everything seems normal. ex: Summary for drive G: (AnyDVD 6.0.8.0) Drive (Hardware) Region: 1 Media is a Data DVD. Booktype: dvd-rom (version 1), Layers: 2 (opposite) Size of first Layer: 2060464 sectors (4024 MBytes) Total size: 4116579 sectors (8040 MBytes) Video DVD (or CD) label: THE_RING Media is CSS protected! Video Standard: NTSC Media is locked to region(s): 1 4! RCE protection not found. DVD structure appears to be correct. Found & removed invalid VOBUs! Autorun not found on Video DVD. Bad sector protection not found. Emulating RPC-2 drive with region 1! When I open clonedvd, I the look for the DVD video files, and keep getting this error: "Clonedvd is not for use in copying protected DVD's" and you all should no the rest of the message. I unistalled it, and re-installed again and again without success. So I tried downloading dvd43 and when I run this in the background, clonedvd works. can anyone tell me if there is a setting that I am not aware off that needs to be changed or activated? just not sure if i'm missing something, or why clonedvd is not recognizing anydvd in the background. I also wonder if the system restore affected the programs. Let me know if you all need more information. Thanks.
tkt49 , first don't run anydvd and dvd43 on the same machine they will conflit i would uninstall both programs(clonedvd 2 and anydvd)and uninstall dvd43 altogether run CCleaner do a disc cleanup defrag reboot and reinstall clonedvd 2(2.9.0.1) and anydvd 6.0.8.0 and see if that works you may have other software on your PC confliting with the programs also. nero INCD or roxio drag to disc can cause problems
I would do the following in this order: 1. Uninstall anydvd, clonedvd, and dvd43 2. Use a registry cleaner like jv16 powertools or ccleaner to clean the registry (in cleaner the registry cleaning option is the button with the little blue cube that is labelled "issues"). 3. Delete the CloneDVDTemp folder under your C:drive 4. Delete the slysoft folder under "program files" 5. Reinstall anydvd and clonedvd My bet is that things will work after that.
[bold]ejrinva[/bold] Good advice, the one thing you left out that the [bold]tkt49[/bold] needs to do is register AnyDVD & CloneDVD with the "keys" for each provided by Slysoft when these were purchased. That way, they'll work w/out expiring. Also, what [bold]aabbccdd[/bold] said: DVD43 is not good to run with AnyDVD, well,I will go as far as saying it isn't even needed if you have AnyDVD!
Thanks for the advise. I have tried all of the above without any results. I have tried ripping a dvd with anydvd to my HD and that works, also tried backing up a dvd using the dvd43-clonedvd combination, and that worked. So just don't understand why anydvd will not be recognized when I try to utilize it with clonedvd. Might have to do a full format of my pc, but that is way too much hastle. For now I'm just using the fabdecrypter with shrink, and even though it takes longer, it works fine. Thanks for the replies.
