Okay, so i'm transferring some of my mom's old cassettes to cd, and I'm using Audacity. However, i have a problem with it. I record the audio with the highest quality option (stereo, 96000Hz, 32-bit float), and split it up into tracks. For some reason, I can't burn it with RecordNow or Nero. So, I use LAME to try to convert it to MP3. But the files all come out to 1 kb and don't play. At this point I am stumped. None of the other threads i searched had any help. Any assistance is appreciated. please post away!

Have you tried "export as mp3" or "export selection as mp3" under the File drop down box ? You can record the entire side of the tape and then highlight each track separately and then choose "export selection as mp3", or you can export the entire thing as one long track by choosing "export as mp3" and split it up later.

    Hope that helps.

i tried, lol. just the 1 or 0 kb thing again. i'm just re-recording everything, and not bothering to save it as an audity project or anything. straight to mp3. i guess this will have to do. thanks for the reply, though.
