Hi I have run into two insurmountable cases with a new form of what I would call "Shrink Incompatibility. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I keep getting similar errors to the following. This is when I am attempting to open the file in Shrink after ripping with the latest version DVD Fab Decrypter 3 & previous versions as well. Invalid data in file "F:\DVD File\FullDisc\T\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_1.VOB I have tried Vob Blanking (this program seems useless lately) I also in both cases attempted to back up just the main title or movie and it will burn a copy after I use Shrink, but you get odd sub title or hearing impaired dialog at the bottom of the movie. 2 questions arise. 1) I am not opposed to spending coin for programs that are worth money. After getting burned with "One Click DVD" I am leery. Will "Any DVD" fully overcome this problem or does someone recognize some mistake I am making here. 2) Does this sound like corruption of the Shrink program. Should I remove it and download another copy? Help, Please, V
Using the latest AnyDVD, I ripped the disc first then shrink compressed and burned fined. Played the movie last night with no errors. Like everyone here says there are alternatives to buying AnyDVD, but none are as easy as using AnyDVD
Hi. I'm a big supporter of AnyDVD as well. On the other hand have you tried Ripit4me? It's free and uses other free programs to do backups. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/1/360110 For ease of use and simplicity, nothing beats AnyDVD.
@SirV Well, either your doing something wrong or something is messing up your system. Because I did THE PROPOSITION with DVDFAB Decrypter + VobBlanker + DVD Shrink and my backup came out perfect (flawless). To be honest, I have never never ever seen/encountered any movies/dvds that I can not rip and backup using this combo (DVDFAB Decrypter + VobBlanker). Here's the newly revised guide (THE PROPOSITION is included) http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/334154 Good luck and happy burning.
Thanks everyone! I am certain, more than certain, that 99% of problems I encounter with backing up my movies is due to user ignorance. Plain & Simple. For instance, I know good and well that VOBblanker is actually a killer piece of software, I mean it must be if advanced users are successfully using right? I honestly just don't have a clue what I'm really doing. Here is a question for the GREAT people that directed me to the killer "ripit4me" software that worked perfectly on the movies I had questions about. Can I use this product with DVDfabdecrypter 3? I tried changing the "paths" and I keep getting a message stating that "the rip seems to have been aborted" I like fab because it's updated on a regular basis and EASY. Thank you for your patience and cool guidence. Peace, V
