Why do my dvd-r's quit playing in stand alone players after labeling with labels for cdr?
Testing them before labeling, they worked fine; after labeling video quits playing.
    Some ideas?

They are off balance, don't use labels, write on the disc with a CDR pen

Hi I had the same problem with my dvd-r movie back ups. I thought it was the discs and also my dvd player is having audio sync problems anyway after throughing out a bunch of discs that where obviously good I used varsol and a cloth and gently dabbed and coated the top side of the disk and let it sit fo about 5 min (do not coat the bottom of the disc just the labell. After 5 min the label should peel off like it had no glue in the first place. Clean any left over glue off and it should wark just fine.

    Hi rocn1976,
    thanx for ya tip.
Now I tried it with transparent inkjet-labels of 'data becker'. They work beautifully, even with these noname blank-labelled dvd-r media.
