problems with chimp 2.10

    ok, im trying to install a 40 gig hdd into my xbox and following a guide that talks about useing chimp, i have everything ready to go, but when i run chimp. i see a black screen that flashes and flickers and then a solid green screen comes up and then i can do no more. im useing the chimp i installed from my aio 4.10 disk. is there another version i can use?

    I don't trust Chimp as far as I can throw it! Very buggy!

    Do it properly using my tutorials!

    well i cant do any ftp, i only have the one ethernet connection on my pc. also i have no router, so im left out of any ftp for my xbox i guess.plus i cant aford to go buy a pci card at all, scence im broke after paying all my bills

    I'm assuming you are using that ethernet port for your internet!?

    Can you not live without the internet for the ten minutes you'll be FTPing?

    Use 'ipconfig /all' and write down all your settings. If your PC is using DHCP, even better.

    Change the settings to work for your Xbox and then change them back when you are done!

    Simple!

    kick ass, thanx for youre help. i do have another question for you i installed a second pci card its a.. D-Link DFE-530TX PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter (rev.A) will this work for my ftp to xbox?

    Yep, your network properties screen should show you two 'Local Area' points now!

    Simply change the address of the new one as you would if you only had one!

    ;)

    well, my new card dont have a ip addy. how do i get one for it?

    What do you mean?

    Either assign it manually or enable DHCP to do it automatically!

    My networking tutorial will explain everything!
