ok a quick prob, i just got a new lg dvd super multi burner, and i have a ps2 already modded. my friend had games and i wanted to make a copy of them and i have dvd decrypter, dvd shrink, nero6. i read on here how to use dvd decrypter and used it.i was burining a game that had already been backed up onto a dvd+R disc.i wrote the files to my harddrive then wrote the iso. file to a dvd-R all using decrypter. it didnt work it said it burnt ok but didnt work. then i tried the same process using a dvd+R and it worked, but after it had finished and decrypter said burned succsessfully, it came up with an i/o address error?it still worked in my ps2 with the dvd+R that it had just written though-any suggesttions why it doesnt work with dvd-R and why this error??i am using sony blanks to backup aswel. my next question isis it ok to use decrypter for everything mentioned or should i be using it to read to the hard drive and using another program to write it like dvd shrink?? if so then why and does it improve how the ps2 game will play??please help im really lost on this one.
I use DVDDecrypter for both, reading and writting, and I haven't got any problem with my backups till now. There are only 2 special considerations: 1 - You can't backup DVD games greater than 4 GB if you are decrypting to FAT32 systems. If the image is larger it will be splitted and it will be the reason for not running properly. 2 - Use always 2x writting speed...this is a recomendation. Regards. Sorry my english.
im using xp, and the game i was coping was 2.4 GB-prince of persia & nba streets volume 2 which was about 3.4GB. so any more ideas?? am i doing everything right??
very true estrella. i burned the same game on dvd decrypter once using 1x write and 2x write, and the 1x write didnt boot. the 2x went beautifully
