Hello! I am new to the forum, I hope this is the right place to ask a question. I have problems with the setup of Creative & the speaker system (Sound Blaster Audigy, 7.1). I installed Creative software, the player and everything seems to work just fine. But when I play a CD or play internet radio only two of my 7 boxes respond. The sound is surprisingly good, but I would rather hear all seven of them... And here is the mystery: the speakers are all connected. When I test the speaker settings they all respond. But with CD / radio they don´t. What´s wrong, here?? Any ideas? Please help.... KaterMurr
- For 7.1 you need Windows XP; with Win2k you'll only get 5.1. - If your source is stereo (e.g. audio CD) you'll get stereo (= 2 speakers) playback, unless you use some player with stereo -> surround DSP (something like Dolby prologic). You might want to do a search on Winamp's plugin site for surround... Or try with some 5.1 source like DVD or AC3/DTS files.
