i bought Destroy All Humans today, which plays fine on my unmodded system, on my modded (XBIT) one, however, i can't get it to load either from my HD, or even from the actual retail disc. has anyone else experienced this, or might know what would be causing it? TIA!

If it is the actual DAH disc you are using, it should still load from the dvd-rom unless you have the thompson drive which has a hard time loading new games. If you can't load it from the HDD, you might have to patch the default.xbe, there are a lot of tools to manage this, search around xbox-scene or google for "XBE patcher" or "patch xbe."

same issue here with PS2. Retail version loads but then begins to click at start screen and will not go further. I have a DMS3 mod chip. Star wars battle front and Godzilla save the earth both do the same thing. I also tried backing up all three and backups do the same thing. Very strange problem. does anybody know if there is some sort of new protection detecting mod chips???

    Feedback appreciated.

it is the original, and it won't load. the real kicker is, it will copy to the HD fine, which lead me to believe it wasn't the dvd-drive. then it wouldn't play off the HD either, so i'm kind of left scratching my head.

i was pretty sure that most disc to HD copy programs eliminate the copy protection. this usually shows up in the file folder when you have a default.xbe (the new, copy broken file), and a default.bak (the backup original xbe). however, this still makes it impossible to launch. also, still doesn't make any sense when the original won't launch, even in stealth mode.

I updated my Xenium to 2.3.0 BIOS just to make sure. No go.
Next I am going to replace the original HD back into the box and remove the modchip.

Yes, after returning my XBOX to original condition, still no workie.

DISK WAS BAD. The replacement works fine. THIS GAME ROCKS HARD.
