I have a Sharp DV-SR45 recorder that when I place a DVD+RW tht was used on my computer into it, I receive a disc error. What causes this? What is the best way to delete a RW DVD? I have tried NERO, but the erase disc feature never stops and I can't do anything else on my computer.
burkea Disc error on a standalone can mean that it doesn't like the format or the media used and possibly the disc is dirty. What media did you use? Was it a movie you made a backup of? I have only used Nero to erase discs but yes it will take awhile and it also depends on which option you pick - quick or full.
At first I used a DVD-RW, but then I found out that my DVD recorder does not like all, so I bought DVD+RW and DVD +R. TNeither of these worked either. I can play it on my computer (both from DVD and hard drive), but when I move it to the disc, no luck! Is there a final step I am missing?
So you can play you burned DVD on your PC but not your Sharp - right? Which programs are you using? Are you making backups of the original DVD's or dowloads? What brand of disc are you using?
