I was trying to creat a backup copy of a movie I own using dvd decryptr and it kept giving me errors (i cant tell you what because it was a bunch of numbers in the message). Then I tried using smart ripper and it gave a "index out of bounds" error message. I am looking for a free ripping utility that will work for me.

I guess this movie is a big large so these tools are having a hard time with it. I normally use DVD shrink after I rip the movie. Any help would be great, thanks in advance.

What is the movie you are doing, more than likely it has newer protection on it that Decrypter cannot handle because it is no longer updated. Download the free DVDFab Decrypter and rip and then process with Shrink.

Or try the new program RipIt4Me that will work with both DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink and will do all new protected movies. The links to the programs you need and guide are here.
