Shrinking the whole thing is about at the 53% level.

Either use a dual layer disk or strip each version (non-sing-along and sing-along) to a single layer disk with DVD Shrink in Reauthor mode. There's no compression then.

When you sing-along & non sing-along ver, Is there 2 version of the movie on the disc (I'm asking because I have not tried to rip it yet, nor have I watched it either. but I will do it when I get home

Yes there are two separate main titles on the disk: Title 19 for the sing-along version and Title 1,2 for the regular non-sing-along.

If you want to keep the menus and extras and use Shrink, just use the full disk option and set the compression to one of the main titles to "still image" and compression will be around 83%. The other main title can be stripped in reauthor mode and there will be no compression for it.

Now if I set the sing-a-long version to still image will it change the menu system, Because I want it to remain in tact. I have never had to re-author a disc before, uassly I would just perform a Full Disc back up and they play just like my real one.

The only thing that happens is that the singalong version will no longer be a watchable video. Menus and everything else will remain unchanged.

I guess I am missing a step but can you walk me through the process of re-authoring?

    Cick the Reauthor button.

Drag whatever main title you want from the righthand window to the lefthand window.

Click the compression tab above the righthand window.

Uncheck any unwanted subtitles and audio streams.

    Click the Backup! button.

NONSTOP - your CAPS LOCK is being abused there, it might clock you one.

as for this movie, i just did the first title, ie the one without the annoying karoake style on-screen sing-along words

I'm sorry friends...Didn't mean to shout LOL

Anyway, the combo I described to use for HIgh School Musical worked for me and I had access to both menus and all of the features. When I tried it with DVD Shrink it was to big to fit onto a DVD5 environment. CLONEDVD2 and RIPIT4ME 1.4 worked consistently fine for me.

    Take it easy.......

    Once again...I used CLONEDVD2 and RIPIT4ME 1.4...

    Talk to you guys soon....
