Hello everyone! I submit this post to see if you can help me to know if I have a virus or similar in my computer. A few months ago I bought the 3Mb ADSL service (with Telefonica, Spain). At first it was a bit slow, specially emule. I did call my ADSL company. While waiting for their answer I did learn to open a few ports for my emule. Then emule went on fast fast fast. Great! But the people from ADSL came into my house to check if everithing was ok. I tolde them yes. But they wanted to be sure. Therefore they brought me a new modem. When they left I could see emule was slow again. I wanted to open the ports, but the page to do it was diferent and I couln´dt do it. So I toke out this new modem and re-installed the old one. Internet was perfect again. Until a few days ago. I started downloading some youtube videos with UltraGet yourtube as always do and at some point the program stoped working. It said failure at downloading or something similar. After this internet started to work badly. So I did call the company and follow the steps they gave me. At the end they told me my conecctions was ok, but something in my computer was causing this problem. I have use several times vista options to restore the system, etc... The only thing I gained from this is that now explorer and emule works. But I can´t wach youtube videos or download them. I tried other youtube downloader program, but it doesn´t work. Why? ¿Can you see anything in my Hijackthis? I am not very good at reading Hijack logs but many bugs are transmitted over torrent downloads so update your antivirus, and antispyware run full scans of each and if you find bugs you can't get rid of you may want to do an oline scan to get rid of anything your current sotware cannot.
Hi! Now I can see the problem is that my conexion to internet disconnects every 10min or so. I have not idea why. The other problem is that I can not see videos on internet, listen to radios online, can not download freeware and my Norton Antivirus has found problems to download the updates so has not been working. Recently I installed a Bitdefender trial and the weird thing is while bitdefender is working, my Norton antivirus has been able to work.Without Bitdefender is not able to update itself. Both programs say I have not viruses, but they deleted a few trojans a week ago. Also Im using CCleaner to try to maintain everything fine at registry. So, thats the problem. I leave here my log, and at the bottom some info of my ADSL. -------------------------------------------------------------- Logfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.2 Scan saved at 19:49:31, on 07/05/2009 Platform: Windows Vista SP1 (WinNT 6.00.1905) MSIE: Internet Explorer v7.00 (7.00.6001.18000) Boot mode: Safe mode with network support Running processes: C:\Windows\explorer.exe C:\Program Files\Spyware Doctor\pctsGui.exe C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis\HijackThis.exe R0 - First off you shoud never have more than one antivirus installed they can create conflicts with your system. If this doesn't resolve your issue try power cycling your modem basically turn off your pc and unplug your modem if you have a router unplug it wait 5 minutes and reboot the pc plug in the modem & router if any wait a few minutes see if your able to get online if not you need to contact your DSL service provider.
For the moment, this is the only way to make my original antivirus work. And no, this doesn´t cause the problem, Bitdefender was installed after the problem started. I tryed to do as you say, reset the modem and everything... Nothing. And I did call the company. They said their conecction was right and probably I had a progam on my pc causing the trouble. I still have to call the to explain the disconection evey 10min, thought.
If your able to get online again get superantispyware at this web link http://superantispyware.com/ install the free editiion run a full system scan if it finds any infections do your best to remove them if you still cannot get online try to go to a friends download this program also download AVG 8.5 free edition, remove all the protections you have and install both of these re scan your pc and try again you may have to do a complete reinstall of your system. I cannot remember the name of this one trojan I had on a clients pc it would not let me get online unless it wanted to phone home sending the pc users data to some servers. I tried to get rid of it with literally every form of scanner I could get after 18hrs of work my client finally agreed to let me wipe the hard drive and reinstall windows and that is what I think you should do.
