problems with my burner?

    hi

    about a week ago i was able to burn DVD-ROMs on my burner but now Nero says that i need DVD-RAM discs, it never used to say that and now it is??, Is it my Burner or is it Nero, My burner is a HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-4167B, i know it says 'DVDRAM' on the burner but it never used to have problems????, can anyone help me, plz

    LG products aren't very good, though I've never had that happen. If you can still burn DVD-ROMs, you're ok, even though that message might be annoying.

    In Nero, try going into File->Options->Misc and unticking Warning if burning VAT on DVD+RW, DVD-RAM.

    I can't seem to find that option in Nero 7, is it in Nero 7?, or r u talking about nero 6???

    It's Nero 7. Nero Burning Rom, not Nero Vision or Start Smart or whatever.

    I tryed looking for that option in Nero Burning rom 7 but i stil can't find it, what section of 'misc' is it in??,

    In Burning ROM v. 7.0.8.2, click File, then Options, then the Misc tab. Maybe they didn't have it or took it out in your version.

    Another thing, if that doesn't work, is to try to burn a disc, but make sure No Multisession is selected and also that Finalize Disc is selected. Multisession can be found under the Multisession tab when you start a new compilation or go to burn one, and the Finalize Disc option is found under Burn. Hope this gets you somewhere.
