Um, yes. I just bought my very first DVD burner, and this is probably a really simple question, but I fail at life, so I need help. e.e My DVD burner is a Pioneer DVR-X122 and came with a trial of Nero 7 Essentials. The blank DVD I'm using has 4.7 GB of space on it. However, in Nero, it insists on reading it as a CD with 700 MB on it, and doesn't want to let me put more than a couple AVI files on it. Is there a better program I can use, or is there a way to fix this? Thank you!
first make sure ur firmware is up to date http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_all.php . after that, use good media, like verbatim,sony or tyuden. it sounds like the burner is not recognizing the blank media. this should help. try going to nero and doing a "test drive" and click on disc info, with the blank media in the burner. this will let u know if ur burner is reading it (ur blank media) correctly.
