when I burn a movie to a dvd it transcodes and burns properly or so it seems...after its done burning, about 1 hr 20 mins and I put it in my dvd player to watch it on tv it screws up about halfway through or near the end (freezes, those weird boxes show up). whats going on? how do I fix this? I baught the dvd player so I wouldn't have to watch movies on my computer
Hi nost88 That problem can be caused by poor media and or burn speed to high or drives firmware not up to date. So let's check a few things: °Media you are using - like Sony +R 16x °Burn speed? Try burning at 1/2 the rated burn speed. °make, model & firmware version of drive? Go to Nero ToolKit>InfoTool. In the drop down the make and model of the drive is listed. On the drive tab there is a field there that will give the firmware version. You can check the manufacturers site or here http://rpc1.org for a later version.
