I seem to have a issue with Nero Vision when I am attmepting to make a Blue Ray movie. A client of ours has bought a brand new Dell XPS with 2.4 quad core processor with 4 gigs of ram to burn movies. Unfortunately it has never worked for him. We have bought Nero 8 for him and tried to burn a movie with Nero Vision. While it is transcoding/encoding, it will usually randomly crash and restart the computer. We haven't figured out why, but we spent over 20 hours on the phone with Dell thinking it was a hardware issue and got them to change the motherboard and heatsink. Still same problem. Since Nero 9.0 just came out, we even bought that, but instead of restarting it just freezes now and forces us to restart it. Extremely frustrated with this, yet we need to figure out what it's going to take to get this fixed as the machine client bought is very expensive. Someone please help us!
Bumping 1 more time If peolpe don't know what the answer is, maybe a reccomendation on another software suite that does? I'm wondering if this is a issue with Nero itself.
20 hrs...wtf? Dunno wot a Dell XPS is but if you are using Vista with 4 gigs you may well run into problems anyway. Vista dont like 4 gigs dude. However I would think it was the burner NOT the MB as Dell seem to think. Do you have a blue ray burner in the system?
i have the same problem, but instead of burning to disc with nero, i set nero to burn the file on the hard disc ...afterwards i burn to imgburn....hope this helps...
