problems with playing back up games on xbox 360

    hi people, I got a mod put in to my 360 and im having problems playing my back up games. I have replaced the laser and slowed down tne speed of the drive and even the burn speed but im still having the same problems. Some of the games will play one minute and not the next some wont play at all. Im not sure what mod was put in and i dont know what alse to do. Can someone please help me over come the problem? many thanks hope to hear from yous soon

    Do you get any kind of error message? Open Tray? Dirty Disc Error?

    hi

    I mostly get unplayable disc and it comes up like it's playing a dvd and asks to hit play like you would with a dvd then says something about the software and then comes up xbox360 and that keeps happening. A few would play after about 20 mins after sitting opening and closing the door or playing another game.

    What type of media (DL discs) are you using?

    to the op, you need to be more specific, you are typing in a loose lazy talk and it is hard to understand what you are saying. (exe. don't say it says something like b;ah, blah, blah)(Tell us EXACTLY what it says, who changed your laser? you? do your burnt games work at all or only originals? what speed setting did you change? <SPECIFICS PLEASE>

    hi i am having a similar problem message comes up open tray or please clean the disc, unreadable disc. have to try 3/4 times before i can get game to work sometimes have to load an original game first then eject disc and put back up in. can you help

    friend from work did 360 for me liteon drive bought the xbox 360 brand new at christmas so its ten months old. some of the games work fine some of them take a lot of patience. all original discs work fine. dont know anything about speed settings

    what firmware is flashed on the drive?

    also, what brand of dual layer discs are you using?

    how can i check the firmware that i am using. i can not see any makers name on the discs they are just white printable will ask about them in work

    only way to check what version of the FW you are using is to dump the FW via jungle flasher.

    I commend you brotha. The amount of times you repeat yourself, or ask the same questions, over and over again is truly mind boggling....not sure where the noobs would be without posters like you, leerage, homesick and so forth...

    they would be xbox 360 less because they would all have bricked drives.

    can someone please help me i have bought a LG dl drive and some e-discs printable i can burn the disc of another copy but when i put the copy in it just says open tray someone please help
