    Hi
I'm new to this and not too clued up. I have had a eurovox max blue box, and up until recently it has worked perfectly well. Recently however I have been having trouble with the signal strength on some of the channels. The problems all seem to be with the channels with a frequency of around 600mhz and above, any ideas what could be wrong?

Not exactly sure, but I could suggest realign your dish to max signal strength. Also an old or poor quality cable from the dish to the box can cause problems because it can't carry the signal cleanly. Some bandwidths maybe ok and others not.

I have 2 boxes. 1 where the cable is new and 1 with old wires.
The 1 with the new wire gets about 100 more channels. The 1 with the older wire loses signal alot. Just been too lazy to replace it. LOL

I don't have a dish but telepest connection, the cables look okay. Does the fact that it's the higher end of the mhz frequencies that seem to be giving me problems sound like a connection weakness?

Sorry to say, but not sure.

got to the bottom of the poor signal, apparently water penetration which had reduced the signal strength. Everything fine now. Thanks for the help

LOL - I know how you feel. I have the same problem here. We also have cable internet and when it is damp or rains, I lose about 80% of my bandwidth. Really sucks. Even our hydro cuts out alot. Were on a street that has wires that totally hate moister.
