can anyone epxlain the likely cause of some games not booting with USB Advance?

The games install ok, they are recgnised in the menu but when it comes to loading them, they don't work. could it be they need patched?

the same games load ok whe i burn them to disc, so the problem would seem to lie somewhere with the conversion or USB Advance itself.

is there anything better than USB Advance for use with an external USB HDD?

compatibility with USBADVANCE is NOT the same as with hdloader. It is MUCH worse.

Something better than USB ADVANCE?? well if you have a fat ps2 then buy a network card and plug the hdd internally and use hdloader. Its faster and supports more games.

If you have a slim ps2 then buy the IDE adapter cable and solder it to your mainboard and install the hdd that way. then you can use the hdloader instead of usb advance as well.
