@inzion, I'm not an expert on Nero, but I'll give it a try. You need to edit your Nero serial # that started with 1Axx-xxxd-xxxd-xxxx=xxxx-xxxx before someone hijacked it. Your Nero 6.6.0.6 is an outdated version, it's new version is 6.6.0.15 One of your hardware drive is on PIO Mode instead of Ultra DMA Mode or your DMA is off. I've never heard of that kind of media before, so perhaps, you need to use good quality media such as Taiyo Yuden, FUJI/TY, Verbatim, Maxell and Sony (check for Made In Japan on all, except Made In Taiwan for Verbatim is OK). Again, looks like your dvd burner doesn't like the media here. You may want to update your dvd burner's firmware if there is one available for it. Sometimes updating firmware will resolve most of the times due to the burner's limitations on media compatibility.
By the way, to "edit" your post again; on the right hand, there's an icon "pencil & paper" on the "date and time" small orange bar. Just click on it and edit your Nero serial numbers.
are you trying to change the booktype in nero to DVD-ROM? because i believe you can only do that with DVD+R disks
Wow. I really appreciate all of your inputs. I have a little trouble understanding the input however, being such a newbie and severely lacking technical know-how. I did update my Nero software to 6.6.0.15 but received the same error. Enclosed is my new logfile (sorry so tedious). Seems to be much the same. I do not know how to turn on DMA as you suggested. {OK I figured out how to check this and all my channels are DMA enabled when available} Do not know how to update firmware of my driver (I don't even know what firmware is.) You have been extremely kind. Any refernces for where/how I can edify myself? Also we have had problems w/other media (DVD+R) so I don't know if it's that. Thanks again.
