As I am a novice to this area of computer software, yes I have tried to understand some of the language by reading Computer Shopper magazine each month and reading a very good magazine by the PC Explorer team, called The Ultimate DVD burning handbook. I am a college lecturer and I record T.V programmes onto my Sony (model 970) DVD recorder which also has a 250GB hard drive. First I put the T.V programme onto a DVD + RW disk, and then I place it into my computer to transfer it to the PSP. Can someone tell me if there is one program which can convert the data from the DVD + RW disk to PSP and if that is not possible, a step by step guide to how it can be done? Thanks Cedars369
I don't have any of those devices, so I can't say if it's what you need. I have used this program to turn out short, working mp4 files and mkv with subtitles - but since I haven't got the hardware, I can't take the final step. The video file in your case would be a VOB (VTS_01_1.VOB) The 'profile' box is where you select the device - xbox, psp, etc. Expect large mpeg files to take a long time to process. There's a guide here for the software. http://www.bontragerphotography.com/psp/RipBot264.php
If your disc are finalised, I think that DVDfab platinum would do it. I use DVD HD decrypter, which is platinum minus a few options and one of those options says it converts DVDs to PSP format.
